We are an Occupational Course of Study program for students with mild intellectual disabilities. Our program includes academics, life skills, and occupational training. Students are required to earn community and in-school job shadowing and will graduate with a high school diploma. One of the major problems preventing our students from being successful after graduation is the lack of life skills. Our life skills curriculum is sorely outdated and not relevant to students today. We need an updated curriculum that addresses​ the unique issues students face in the 21st century. Having a relevant and current life skills curriculum will help prepare our students for life outside of high school. It will be used during their Occupational Preparation class to support on and off-campus job shadowing.
