These materials will create real opportunities to learn job skills such as, how to be professional. health and hygiene, and how to work as a team. Running a coffee cart business would give them the opportunity to apply skills worked on in the classroom to real-life situations. Students will learn how to use basic math, language arts, communication, and social skills in everyday situations. Communication and social skills are critical for my functional skills students to interact with the world around them. The coffee cart teaches the kids math and social skills in a fun way without them even knowing they're learning. The items in the cart will be used to stock the initial inventory. Once the business is up and running money will be used to restock supplies.
