As I mentioned before, I work with a great group of students and I enjoy their extremely high energy (gets me pumped up too) but they need some organizational skills! They are in 7th grade which is a crucial time for developing organizational skills that will stay with them throughout their scholarly and professional lives. The different subject tabs will be for classwork, lecture/research notes, "do nows" (writing prompts for the first few minutes of class), and vocabulary. The last section can be used as a paper bank or for other subjects. My social studies class will be research and project based and I think it will be very advantageous for the students to have a section where they can quickly reference their research while writing essays or creating physical models. Furthermore, it will be great for the students to have pockets within the section dividers to have a place to store loose papers that pertain to each section. I have chosen the notebook route instead of the binder route because I always tended to break my binders within the first few months of school when I was a student. Notebooks seem to be a bit more durable. Anyways, donate or don't; I won't think any less of you! Thanks for reading, happy days!
