The Scholastic News magazines will help reinforce the ELA standards taught in the third grade. My students will be able to feel responsible by managing their magazines and being able to take them home after doing assignments and projects. It will help me to assign engaging and fun writing assignments about the current events. Students will also do partner reading and projects together comprehend material. The Magazines will also come with awesome tests, games, outlines, and engaging supplemental materials to incorporate. Most importantly, it will help teach science and social studies, which are not prevalent in our curriculum, and keep my students connected to what is happening in the world around them.
