Through virtual reality goggles, android devices, and Google Expeditions, we will be able to take our students who cannot afford to get out and see the real world into historical places. We can visit locations, museums, and battlefields of all the places they study. We can go to Tuskegee, Alabama and view an exhibit on the airmen and the contribution black soldiers made to World War 2. We can go out west on a covered wagon in the 1850s. This hands on experience will help them to connect to history they learn by helping them to feel like they are there.
