As we sit on the floor for group time I often hear "They are touching me!" "I'm squished!" "I can't see!" "This floor is too hard!" "They are in my space!" All of these things cause distractions in our day. What do we need? Our classroom needs a large, colorful, organized carpet where we can all fit and sit together. The carpet will have different colored squares where students will have their own space. It will help us in our daily routines as students will know exactly where to sit. Having the individual spaces will help to cut down on unnecessary distractions and help us to focus.

About my class
