Students struggle with reading Shakespearean language and following the development of the plot. Using a 3 - D printer and three dimensional (3D) designs will enhance their readings and literacy skills. 3D images will be used in the classroom to uncover the elements of literature and character development as it corresponds with the theme of the text. As a summative assessment for the drama unit covered this school year students will create a scene from Romeo and Juliet using 3D images. Here are some of the learning outcomes expected when we get to use our printer.: Deconstruct the language of the text using 3D imagery to understand the content. Identify character motivations and how it impacts the development of the plot. Interpret the characters’ feelings and thoughts associated with their personalities. Critique character actions in the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Summarize Romeo and Juliet using an animated snippet or skit. Highlight key ideas and the underlying theme of Romeo and Juliet. Direct and produce an animated play using 3D figures.
