In my early elementary classroom the majority of instruction, discussions, sharing, discovery, reading, and learning occurs at the carpet! Our classroom carpet is a key piece for classroom management due to the defined spaces which are useful when needed. The students can be grouped easily and transition from the carpet quickly to increase instructional time. Our classroom provides a comfortable, inviting community space for student led conversations, sharing, learning, flexible seating, and a cozy place to enjoy reading and listen to read alouds. Our carpet is the place that we nurture our community and team building for a family feel.

About my class
