With the state upping the rigor of Standardized testing, my students must continue to grasp complex reading and writing materials, while developing the metacognitive skills it takes to be an independent learners. I assist my students with accomplishing these tasks through modeled, guided, and independent instruction. By watching me model the writing process, and close reading strategies, the students are able to master difficult content. The use of the color pencils will help the stude ts to color. Code their writing which helps them to remember the components, edit and revise their writing material. The organizer will assist the students in storing their classwork, and materials used throughout the class period, which will keep the material in pristine condition for reuse. The document camera is an essential tool used for modeling on behalf of the studetnt and teacher. It allows the teacher to convey expectations of classwork and allows the students to come forward and demonstrate what they have learned to a room of their peers. Thus assisting us in meeting our class goals.
