I have the joy to teach senior English, and one of the texts we cover in class is Shakespeare's, Macbeth. Personally, Shakespeare is one of my favorites, but it scares many students due to the language. "No Fear Shakespeare" books are a fantastic way for students to feel comfortable reading Shakespeare. It provides a side-by-side text -- Shakespeare's language on one side, and a more modernized version on the other. Through my experience, I have noticed that the students tend to become more invested in Macbeth when they realize there are some modern day connections to make. Having a class set would help to ensure that all students are able to have and use a book when we read the play during class.
