My students live in a very small town and 90% of them are not able to get to the nearest town that does have a library. You see kids walking around on the hot concrete with nothing to do. The books that we will use in our classroom will offer my students a diverse and unique opportunity to enjoy what they are reading! Moreover, to have choices! I teach 5th grade Reading in a school without a librarian; it is my job to foster a life-long love for reading. Please help me give my students the ability to make sense of their own lives and the encouragement to reach out towards people whose lives are different from their own. Invest in the future of our world -for a better tomorrow.
