My students are coming from a low income area. Most of my students move so often that they cannot have pets at home. They also largely live in apartment homes and do not typically have the space for pets. I would love for the students to view my classroom as a place where they can have unique experiences! These students would love the chance to care for animals and pets. Taking care of pets is included in the first grade curriculum in Virginia and I would love to provide my students with hands on information and a learning expierence they will never forget.
