Our district is adopting a new reading and writing curriculum this year which brings along a load of new needed materials. Right now we are constantly borrowing materials like boards, computer mice, and headphones from the school library; this takes time from planning and instruction. Through purchasing some of these materials, we can eliminate the time spend borrowing and returning items that are used daily and can give the students a sense of ownership in their used materials. As a new classroom teacher, I could use as much help as possible filling the classroom and fostering a space of ownership and independence. Thank you in advance for helping my students do the best they can!
