This is my first year teaching. I need a little extra help getting some things funded for my class. I would love to have a calm down corner in my class as well as some of the basic teacher things in my class to help with organization and having more technology opportunities. The calm down corner will help them to redirect their behavior and give them time to think about their choices. The printer, HDMI cord, folders, and Expo markers will help make our learning more engaging and fun versus the traditional teacher calling on the student. Teaching has always been on my heart and, after so many years, I finally have that dream! I want to give my students the best home away from home equipped to nurturing the whole child. The printer will help me stay prepared by not having to wait in line to print. The HDMI cord will help with displaying on the Smartboard. The folders will help to keep up with their daily work, and the Expo markers will help with engagement during a lesson. The students will be able to have their own whiteboards and Expo markers to write down math problems or answers. The rug will help with our calm down area and making it comfortable.
