I currently serve 40 students in my two rotations. 90% of them live in poverty, 80% are dual language, and 70% are reading below grade-level. With only three computers connected to the Internet in my classroom, my students only have the opportunity to visit the technology station once, or twice a week. With the integration of 5 tablets, I will be able to create a technology station that my students will visit every day. Our world is changing fast, and I believe this generation deserves the opportunity to learn and understand that technology is a valuable learning tool. They can engage in fun, pertinent learning activities everyday. I truly believe that this small change in my room will make a difference.
