We have been programming in python, but the students are missing the opportunity to see how a physical object can respond to the program they type. Seeing text on the screen is not the same as watching something move. The electronics and PLA filament will allow my students to work in small groups to print, assemble, and program these introductory robots to dance, move respond to light, sense their surroundings, and beep to show they are happy. This will allow them introduction to another coding language as well as learning elements of physical computing and 3D printing!
