The reading and math guided reading materials as well as the class set of headphones I have chosen, will impact how my classroom flows during center time. Last year, we were fortunate enough to receive 10 classroom iPads! We were all so thankful and excited to have this awesome technology at our fingertips. Although we had these, it was hard and frustrating for us to utilize these because our headphones were either partially working, or not working at all. This created a difficult time for the rest of the centers going on. This may seem small to some, but this will help our classroom in so many ways! I want to give my students the best chance they can get! As for the reading and math materials, I have chosen the Powerpen reading and math quiz cards. These will help with interventions, quick assessments, and one-on-one after school tutoring. Not to mention, they are so much fun! I teach in an extremely high ESL community and these are a fun-filled way to help bridge the learning gap and build confidence! I want to show my students that they can be learning all the time and not even know it. These kids are extraordinary beyond measure and deserve the absolute best. Please help me give them what they need. Thank you!
