My learners need a place to sit on the floor so they can listen and follow directions. A classroom carpet gives each student a defined spot to sit so they can be ready to learn. This rug gives students spots to sit on for community circle time where we get to learn about each other and their lives outside of school. We love to build classroom community and having a gathering space in our classroom like this rug will help us accomplish our academic and social goals in a more organized and structured manner. On this rug, students will enjoy read-alouds, math lessons, read books, write on whiteboards, and socialize with friends. This carpet will be used daily and is an important place for students to gather. We currently don't have a rug, just a cold tile floor. Please help us get a carpet for my students to sit on!
