Reeds and cork grease are basic required parts of the woodwind instrument and assembly process. Unfortunately these are consumable goods that wear out over time, even quicker with our first year students. These items are used everyday in class and without them the instrument is unplayable. We help provide many low income students with school owned instruments to alleviate the cost for families who may be financially struggling but sometimes that is not enough and we need to provide everything. We want to give every student the opportunity to learn music and to be a performer but without these basic items, some will not get that chance. Cost should never prevent a child from learning in any aspect of education and this project would help to ensure that students will have that opportunity!
