Our school has had a greenhouse class for several decades, however floral design has not been a key component. With the floral industry become more prominent, I would like to be able to expose my students to the hands on craft of floral design while teaching key concepts such as flower identification, design skills, and business management. To make this a hands on activity, I would like to give my students a chance to design their own holiday wreaths or center pieces. This grant will fund the materials needed to provide students with an applicable experience that can be used as a hobby or for a career in the future.
