As a high school teacher, I want my students to learn the skills necessary for this phase as well as the next. Many students go to college without a basic knowledge of calculator skills, which makes them less successful and more anxious in college math classes. In order to teach those skills, it is necessary for every student to have a graphing calculator to use in the classroom. While some students can afford to purchase their own, not all are able to. With having some in my classroom, I can provide one for all students to use. My hope is that these calculators will help my students to be competitive learners in the 21st century.
