I will use Angela Duckworth's book to show my students the most current educational research around Fixed and Growth mindsets. Reading her book will help my students understand the role that grit can play in their future success. Reading Grit will help my students develop a Growth Mindset. My goal is to read the book throughout the year to highlight the importance of grit and a Growth Mindset in helping students achieve their goals. Many of my students come to me with a Fixed Mindset. My challenge is to get them to a Growth Mindset, and I believe Duckworth's book will help me do that.
