As we enter the sixth week of distance learning, teachers notice that some students are getting more distracted by things at home and are less engaged in the live lessons. My project helps to motivate students to log in daily and participate, allowing them to win some excellent attendance awards from the Attendance Incentive Program. Many of the students have parents working multiple jobs, which doesn’t allow them a lot of time for academic or emotional support at home. I have the privilege of time to build relationships with my students and watch them grow as learners. I want to provide them with as many opportunities to enjoy school. Cool incentives will help keep them motivated in learning and participating! I want all students to take pride in their work and be encouraged to earn prizes.
