This is not your grandmother's classroom. And aren't you glad? Many of my students are more focused on their work when they are allowed to sit in places other than their desk. For this reason, I want to provide my students with adjustable lap desks and wiggle cushions so they can sit or stand while learning. This will give them options during whole group, group time and individual learning time. Last year I realized I had students who where hunched over doing their work because they preferred to stand while working. This made me begin looking into options for those students. I found that the adjustable tables were the best options for those students and for students who want to sit in the floor. The wiggle cushion allows students to move in their seat without disturbing those around them and makes them more comfortable.
