With this project my students will have 8 new places to sit in the classroom. Having places around the class for students to sit creates a better environment for group work. It will also allow me to replace some of the pillows that have been there for a few years already. Having movable seats will allow students more comfortable places to sit when doing paired reading, independent reading, or group projects. Fourth graders go through pencils quickly. I am really good at making sure they don't go missing and stay in the classroom. With one box of 150 pencils I can last most of the year.
