I am going to use these calculators with my students to explore the various ways that algebra and mathematics in general, are relevant to their everyday lives. As a math teacher, it is my duty to give them the knowledge that will help them outside of my classroom. I want to put my students in a position to be competitive and on level with students that attend schools with more resources. These calculators will close the achievement gap and push my students one step closer to having equity in their educational experience. It is my hope that these calculators will help them see the value of mathematics in their lives.
