The tablets acquired will be used for math and other activities. Our classroom currently has no computers or technology. I planned on having the tablets at one of our academic stations. Kids will spend about 15 minutes at each of the stations. I think having technology might make the material more fun and engaging. We will also be using raz kids to bolster literacy. The tablets will therefore be used for reading. Another thought was to incorporate earned time into our schedule. Those who exemplify good behavior and earn a specified number of points may use the tablet during free time; ten minute prior to recess.
