Imagine moving from a tiny portable classroom to a classroom that is about 3 times the size. Suddenly, I have a HUGE space but very sparse seating options... Giving my students the opportunity to choose the seating option that works best for them is critical to the outcome of their learning. Imagine sitting still in a classroom desk all day... It is not fun! In reading, we do a lot of small group work and independent work. As of now, my students have very limited options when it comes to flexible seating. I have always wanted to turn my classroom into a flexible seating classroom, and I am ecstatic to have been given this opportunity for my amazing students. The Flex-Space Lounge & Learn Couch for Two, Ottoman, and Comfy Floor Seats will be perfect additions to my classroom and give my students the choice to demonstrate responsibility and choose to learn the way that works best for them! The couch and ottoman will remain in my classroom library, and the floor seats can be moved around the classroom to be used as needed. Whether for independent reading, group work, guided reading rotations, independent writing, or even indoor recess... there are endless possibilities as to how these flexible seats can be utilized! With this opportunity, I am positive that I will see success, smiles, and a continued love of learning (only.... a little more comfortable!)
