Within the past couple of years of my teaching career, I've seen increased labeling of anxiety, sensory issues, stress, ADHD, etc. among my students. Instead of having certain students use various tools, I thought there should be equality for all. I would like those students that need the tools to not feel isolated using them, and those who never used the tools just might realize they benefit from them. Offering a Comfort Case and Math Provisions Box to all students will serve as a sense of calmness and relaxation, and provide stimulation, learning, and development within our mathematics classroom while also zoning in on the social-emotional well being of all students. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and have all of their social-emotional needs met simultaneously. In addition to the requested supplies to be donated, the following items will be inside the boxes: pencils, calculator, compass, protractor, blue pen, goniometer, and board eraser. By having all of these provisions in one box, it will ultimately lead to more teaching time, provide organization, and hopefully increase processing ability to be able to adapt to the classroom.
