This rug will be used for our big group learning time where we use the smart board. Right now we are using carpet squares which move and keeps them from maintaining good boundaries with their classmates. This rug will help them sit on a specific colored rectangle that doesn’t move. This will keep them from the constant distractions of their carpet squares moving where they move closer to other classmates. They are often moving them and trying to keep them on a specific spot. A stationary rug will be so much better for my students. I have also requested a book shelf to hold our “big books”. These books are a recent addition to our room and we need a new bookshelf to display these books.
