A new carpet will give students comfort in knowing our class is a nurturing and safe place for them to express their feelings and to create an environment where all students are able to strive academically with growth and achievement. Students will be able to increase peer interaction in a positive way and further develop their ability to speak in public. A new carpet will provide support for students who are shy and reluctant to speak in class. Students will be able to gather on the new carpet each day with a greeting, participating in a group activity, sharing a person interest, and ending with a writing message from the teacher in the form of a friendly letter and school-wide announcements.
