At the beginning of each class, students will start off their day viewing the pocket chart to see what their daily goal is based on the learning scale written-on colored sentence strips. Magnetic strips will allow the students to be able to track their progress visually by moving their mastery level up and down the pockets. The magnetic easel will help students greatly during instruction to monitor their learning scales during each math lesson. It is essential for young children to visually see and practice skills in mathematics at a variety in levels. The easel will be used for whole group activities based on state standards. Students will also receive multiple opportunities to be interactive in the lessons by coming up to the easel and participating in certain activities using the dry erase markers to demonstrate their understanding. This magnetic easel would be a great tool for everyday use for my students.
