The Aquaponic Fish Tank and supplies our class needs will provide my students with real-world opportunities to make curriculum connections. It is important to note that aquaponics refers to a system that combines agriculture and aquatic animals with hydrophonics in a symbiotic environment. I have reserved a special corner of the classroom that will house this unique set-up. My students thrive with hands-on learning lessons and activities, especially ones that are long-term projects that produce results and validate their learning. Every year my goal is to create a learning space that gets students excited about what I teach. An aquaponic fish tank would bring so many learning opportunities to the classroom beyond the pages of books or computer screens.
