These materials will enable my students and fellow staff to utilize culturally relevant books, that reflect the people in their community as well as the situations occurring within it. I want to continue my own education as an anti-bias/anti-racist educator progress. I am continuously becoming more comfortable in my own identity as a multi-cultural person, and want to help all students begin to do the same in their own identities. One of my goals as an educator is to strongly encourage students to be their most authentic selves, and to create a a safe and reflective space for them to do that in!
