The students that I teach often have difficult at-home situations, and the last thing they want to do when they come to my English class, is read about something that they have no clue about. With this project, my hope is to show my students that reading is not always boring and that it can be very fun and fulfilling. Also, students' exposure to these novels will show them that the characters in books can look like them, too. Plus, reading novels in class will help them to become better readers, writers, and thinkers. This will help them in every way!

About my class
