The books that are part of this project will be used to start book clubs in my classroom. Students will be split into groups of 4-5 students and given a choice of different books to read. The students will read and lead discussions on the books. When they are finished, they will start a new book. My students are on different reading levels, but they should ALL be a part of a book club! These book clubs will allow my students to take control of their own learning and give them a sense of independence and purpose for reading. It is a great way to incorporate peer collaboration and hopefully instill a new LOVE for reading (even for those who don't typically like it)!
