Our classroom is white with gray tile. Our chairs are grey and we have two windows that look into a parking lot. I'm a newer teacher, and I do as much as I can with the walls (colorful anchor charts) and wall art, but I really want to provide the students a place they feel is theirs. I want their classroom to be a place they look forward to entering, but which also provides an environment to nurture their minds and bodies. I am hoping with these choices in seating, students will be more excited for their turn at guided reading and center stations.
