I recently saw a demonstration on Alive Studios at the SDE Kindergarten conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The interactive nature of this program, combined with the wild animals would be so awesome for my students to experience! I would have my students begin by refreshing their knowledge of the letters/sounds. They will meet fun characters like Amos Alligator and Ollie Orangutan while practicing their letter/sound awareness. What I am REALLY excited for is the chance my students will have to, build and read words and sentences AND then make these words/sentences come alive! What a better way to grab a students attention and make learning fun! The Math portion of this program is just as engaging!! My students would be able to count, identify numbers, learn greater/less and talk about 2D and 3D shapes - and that's just the beginning! There are so many activities that will tie into my current curriculum!!!
