My students are in need of specialized instruction and materials such a wiggle stools, weighted blankets, and social emotional curriculum. These learning tools help my students focus better and teach them to respond to difficult situations appropriately. The wobble chairs are especially important because the ones that are currently in the resource room are too high for my younger students to access them. The SEL curriculum is also very important because I have been scrounging for lessons online. The weighted blanket is a key feature I would like to include in the sensory area of my room. It helps students with disabilities calm down and feel safe. My goal is to meet all of my kids’ needs, and provide them with a high quality, equitable education.
