These materials will make up the foundation course for an Africa and Black American History Course. We are starting this course with a dream to educate students on a prominent but untold section of American History. The fictional text will provide an avenue to teach themes within Black History, such as Instructional Racism, Legacies of Racism, Literature, Art Connections with Protest Culture, and Resistance. The DVD's will provide other instructional outlets that high the Black American story. Other materials such as expo markers and easel tabs, will allow for ideas of students to be shared in an whole group setting. Your donation to this project, will help jump start a class that will be offered for the first time at E. High School. We are excited for its potential impact on all students. With your help we can make this a special course and one that will have a lasting impact on our community.
