I am a second year teacher preparing to support the inquisitive minds of my new students. I will encourage active learning by creating a hands on classroom that allows my students to explore and discover with guidance as necessary by interacting with their surroundings. It is important to me to create a classroom that supports the individualized special needs of my students. Creating a safe environment that provides these students with a thirst for knowledge sets the foundation for their future in school. The items I picked out will allow my students to explore through their senses and learn through experiences. Through an adapted and modified classroom comes social and discovery learning which will help my students grow.
