We are hoping that by having this carpet and light covers we can invite students to collaborate and be creative while sharing space with each other on the floor. This invites bonding, cooperation, and offers diverse seating to those who may struggle sitting still in a chair for extended periods of time. These awesome 3rd graders will be sitting on cold tile, under harsh fluorescent lights unless we can get help funding this project. To kick start our creativity we have also added the most basic of art supplies...simple paints and multiple brushes which they will use to make illustrations based on stories and literature they read in the classroom.
