I am an Interventionist who has the privilege of teaching multiple students in grade K-4 daily. The students come to me struggling in reading and math. I want to provide an inviting, educational area for these students so when they come in to our classroom they will feel proud and excited to come in, grab a book, and have an area to sit down and read. I am asking for a rug that includes the alphabet and numbers so students can use it to sit and read on and they can also use it as a tool when writing too. Richard Steele once said, “Reading is to the Mind what exercise is to the Body.” I want students to develop a love for reading; so it is important for me to create an inviting place for them to want to come in and grab a book to read. We know reading can take you places, and I want these students to travel around the world in a good book. Your financial support for this project is greatly appreciated, and you will definitely help make a difference in a child’s life. Thank you!
