I have a computer lab for my business classes which serve all 7th-12th grade students. I have older computers, but my IT staff keep them loaded with up-to-date programs. I also have a new paint job this year as well as new business chairs thanks to my first project on Donor's Choose! I am the only computer science teacher in our district, and I am working to convince the district to hire a CS teacher for each campus. If I can add these micro:bits to my classroom, I will be able to add a hands-on circuitry component to the curriculum. I currently have 3 micro:bits in use in the classroom and the kids argue daily about who is going to get to work on them. It is a slow process to build this program, but this classroom set will go a long way to build interest from the students and administration!
