Good things happen at the table. At home, family gathers around the kitchen table where memories are made. Good things happen at our tables at school. Students write in their journals. They collaborate with their tablemates during math lessons. They rotate through centers. They learn while having fun coloring or using playdough. They explore with manipulatives. They enjoy snack while socializing with their friends. During quiet time students rest their heads on the table while listening to soothing music. New tables will give my students a sense of pride in their surroundings. Clean, new tables will make my classroom a brighter, happier, and more enjoyable place to spend time while learning.
