I was able to purchase Dash and Dot robots with my scholastic dollars. I am eager to bring 21st century skills into the library. At present, we do not have any technology other than a smart board. We do not have Chromebooks (That was scrapped in the budget) we do not have iPads or tablets. I would like to bring coding and robotics into the library with the use of iPads to give life to Dash and Dot robots! Coding and robotics encourages the use of computational skills . Last year I introduced unplugged coding to the kids and they loved it. Computational thinking helps children learn to decode problems, understand abstract concepts, and recognize patterns. All of these skills will help prepare students for the future in any career or trade they choose!
