My students will learn better if they have their own area to sit in where they can listen to stories, work with a partner, have share time, and watch me model lessons. They will feel at home if they have a designated spot to sit on daily. My students will learn to stay in an area that is conducive to learning. We will use the rug to explore STEAM lessons and read, read, read! I love how when we can all sit together and read a story as a class. I find it more relaxing than sitting in a chair.
