My students struggle to feel comfortable in their environment. They have difficulty identifying what they need and communicating it appropriately. These items will support my students' ability to be successful in school by being able to access the sensory tools they need. They will proactively be able to use body socks, weighted lap pads, and weighted stuffies when feeling dysregulated. These supplies with help my students who have sensory issues be able to successfully access their environment. My classroom will benefit from having light filters over the lights, because it will help create a therapeutic learning environment. These items will help my students be able to access tools and strategies that they have been previously taught.
