Every student needs to learn vital 21st century skills in the classroom. As a teacher, it is our responsibility to make that learning come alive with innovative opportunities for our students. Using the TI Rover kits to teach coding, explore math and science concepts, and foster teamwork will raise student learning to the next level. Four of these kits will allow my small groups to work in pairs to make learning come alive in a fun, challenging, hands-on environment. These kits will also be shared with gifted coaches throughout the district in order to expose an even greater amount of students to this learning during before and after school programming. While attending a math based field trip in June where the TI Rovers were used, I was in awe of the thinking involved, the teamwork exhibited and the excitement shared by students!
