Being a new teacher is such an exciting journey and I am beyond ready to meet my firsties! Having flexible seating in my classroom would allow my students to choose a spot/ seat around the room that is the best fit for them to learn at. This can be anywhere from a traditional chair, a pillow on the floor, a chair with a bouncy band for the wiggles, or a wobble stool that allows them to move while still engaging in the lesson with the whole class. Students sometimes can’t help but have the wiggles during a long reading or math lesson and this seating would allow them to move without distracting those around them and or themselves. This gives them the best chance at learning!
